If you’re after some succinct tips on getting your mojo back and enhance your libido, here are 9 hacks to naturally increase testosterone. They include burning fat (as fat contains oestrogen which lowers testosterone), eating healthy fats, lifting weights, high intensity interval training, zinc, Vitamin D from the sunlight, reducing stress and eliminating or limiting sugar intake;

Testosterone levels decrease after you eat sugar, which is likely because the sugar leads to a high insulin level, another factor leading to low testosterone. Based on USDA estimates, the average American consumes 12 teaspoons of sugar a day, which equates to about TWO TONS of sugar during a lifetime.

I was surprised I didn’t see sleep mentioned here. Sleep is imperative to maintain hormone balance.

If you watched my video you’ll hear me talk about a decline in male fertility. We’re facing rather concerning times as we’re surrounded by the female hormone, oestrogen and it’s causing problems with guys – and females in fact. It’s causing problems with teenage girls as excess oestrogen leads to breast cancer. Men are even getting breast cancer these days. Since this site is for guys, let’s focus on men. Sperm counts have reportedly decreased almost by as much as half over the last half century:

Experts here for the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology annual conference last week debated the issue for an entire day.

One recent analysis found that in France, the sperm concentration of men decreased by nearly one-third between 1989 and 2005. Most but not all studies from several European nations with large databases and the ability to track health records have found that over the past 15 years or so, the counts of healthy men ages 18 to 25 have significantly decreased. This comes after a prominent study from the 1990s suggested that sperm count has decreased by half over the last half-century.

What’s causing it? Well, external factors for sure – including oestrogen in the water supply (from the female contraceptive pill and also from animal waste after they’re fed hormones to fatten them up and fed a grain diet rich in phytoestrogens), our food supply, again, from being fed hormones and a genetically modified diet (go organic!!), and from certain cosmetics, shower gels, deodorants, shampoos and conditioners, and also from plastics:

Proponents say that exposure to pesticides, endocrine-disrupting chemicals like Bisphenol A and lifestyle habits like sitting for too long contribute to the proposed sperm crisis. And there is increasing evidence that sperm count, like other health conditions, may be influenced by what happens to people early in life, even in the womb.

“If our gametes, male or female, are not produced in the right manner, it could impact the next generation’s health,” says Dr. Le Moal.

If you read the whole article, you’ll see various experts opposing the findings. I think at this stage, to be safe, we can do our best to stick to as pure and natural a diet as possible, taking a wide birth from packaged foods and sticking to organic produce where possible with a healthy assortment of fruits, vegetables, animals and fish. We can’t go wrong by going primal can we? Most importantly regain control of Insulin as it has a devastating effect on testosterone all other hormones as featured in the last article. The fastest way to gain control of Insulin, is to remove grains from your diet, and sugar and high starch carbohydrates. Does that sound too hard? Think sweet potatoes, yams, quinoa, eggs (lots of them and organic) and plenty of vegetables. It takes a few weeks to adjust but you’ll notice any fat drop off faster than you’ve ever experienced and be filled with energy.
