I thought for the first post on this blog, that I’d feature a really interesting TED talk by Professor of Toxicology at Canterbury University, Ian Shaw. He talks about the alarming discovery of gender-bending chemicals in lakes in the US that have caused male alligator genitalia to be shrinking. He then goes on to say that these chemicals are having a harmful effect on men on a global scale, not just in Florida. Men’s sperm counts are dropping off fast and something needs to be done about it. In other studies in the UK and also the US, male fish are growing eggs. Imagine the effects this is having on we men!
