Further to yesterday’s post on the ketogenic diet which converts your body to a fat burning machine, rather than a carb burning machine, I thought I’d feature a video on why fat does not make you fat. That said, you need to eat the right forms of fat, from plant-based products and organic, grass-fed meat. Insulin is your fat storing hormone, and fat doesn’t cause an insulin spike. It’s sugars and carbohydrates that cause your body to store fat – as they induce a blood sugar spike and insulin release. Also, we need plenty of healthy fats or ‘dietary fats’ to produce testosterone. Check this video out for more info on why eating fat does make you fat.
