To Supplement or Not To Supplement?

Supplements for TestosteroneIf you’re looking to raise testosterone, as is probably the case if you’re on this site, you’ll probably have come across supplements to help you do this. You’ll also have come across various supplements to help build muscle (protein shakes), ‘bulk up’ (creatine), burn fat (metabolism boosters/hunger suppressants), multivitamins, green drink shakes (alkaline drinks), regulate blood sugar response (to help with insulin sensitivity), testosterone boosters (zinc helps your body to produce testosterone), oestrogen suppressants, fish oils, and much much more.

Are they a waste of time I hear you ask? I believe the key is to pick the supplements that are organic or as close to organic as possible – meaning, plant-derived or from animals. Any drug that helps to boost testosterone is going to be a hormone which doesn’t trigger your body into creating more testosterone – it’s like an injection of testosterone into your body which isn’t good in the long term! Any drug has a side effect and we don’t want to mess with this hormone.

Supplements that help your body to create testosterone – and completely naturally – are the safest bet. Nothing is guaranteed so before taking any kind of supplements, it’s always worth consulting your GP / Doctor and getting your hormones checked first. For example, it may be the case that your testosterone levels are perfectly fine so taking supplements to increase testosterone would not be a good idea.

If you ask me, I’ve sampled protein shakes from BioTrust and when you check out their page, you’ll see why. They use all natural ingredients and for me, I believe their formula is working! It’s hard to tell with supplements but when I do a an intensive workout, I always feel better feeding my body and muscles with exactly what they require – and within 15 minutes. If you lift heavy weights and don’t feed your muscles afterwards, you’re clearly not going to get maximum effects! I’d also recommend Prograde K20 for a natural testosterone supplement (after getting your hormones tested professionally) as the ingredients are all natural and plant-derived.  You’ll see them all explained on their page.

Before choosing any supplements, get tested, research hard, and pick the ones with all natural ingredients.
